Tub to Shower Conversion

Generally a conventional bathroom is full of hazards, even for the non-disabled. A tub can sometimes be hard to get in and out of, especially if the surface is wet, soapy and slippery. Is it any wonder that many household accidents resulting in injury take place in the bathroom? Converting a tub to a shower can reduce the risk of injury. For families with special needs or senior citizens, we offer a wide variety of custom and standard sizes to easily convert a bathtub into a huge walk-in shower.

The process of tub to shower conversion involves removing your existing bathtub. Any old plumbing is inspected and upgraded. An ABS acrylic shower base, with drain location to match your bathtub is installed in place of your old bathtub.  A 3-part ABS acrylic wall system or ceramic tile of your choice is installed to your shower walls, all the way up to the ceiling if desired for a easy to clean, maintenance free finish. The shower valve is removed and relocated to shower height. Safety bars and your choice of accessories are installed to make your showering experience as safe and secure as it is refreshing.

TubcuT™ Tub to Shower Conversion

More affordable than walk in bathtubs, the TubcuT™ bathtub to shower conversion creates a 24" wide by 9" deep opening to make entry and exit easier and safe for seniors and the physically challenged.  It helps reduce the danger of slip and fall without the expense, mess and time to install bathtubs with doors.  They can be installed in one day and the section can be reinstalled when no longer needed.

First, an easy to use, re-usable template begins the process, giving consistent sized tub openings.  The tub is cut with a high-speed cutting tool.  Next, a support system is installed inside the tub opening.  Heavy duty panels are then cut to match the tub profile and are fitted to the tub.  Then, the seam between the panels and the tub edge is carefully filled with our high quality, water-proof adhesive.  The adhesive is then sanded to match the contour and profile of the tub.  The area around the TubcuT™ is then painted to match the tub's color creating a seamless look. 
Barrier Free System
For those with special needs requiring wheel chair, walker or mobile access to the shower area, we offer a barrier free ABS acrylic shower basin. The curbless design keeps water in and allows for easy access to the shower unit. We also offer additional services such as safety bar installation, shower seats, bowed shower curtain rods, recessed soap dishes, multi-use and slider shower heads, scald proof shower valves and many other accessories for those in need of an easy and safe showering environment.
